What happens after you mark Yes?

Yes records your planned attendance and adds the event to the calendar associated with your registered email. It also creates opportunities to discover relevant professionals planning to attend, if available; you decide whether to arrange a meeting.

Attendance is the beginning, not a guaranteed introduction.
